Gov Zulum Commends BOGIS ES Bababe for Transforming Land Administration

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has commended Engineer Adam Bukar Bababe, the Executive Secretary of the Borno State Geographic Information Service (BOGIS), for his efforts in redefining land administration in the state.

BOGIS, established in 2019, is tasked with managing land-related matters, including land titles, registration, and searches in Borno State.

Governor Zulum made the commendation on Thursday after commissioning several projects executed by BOGIS. These include a 180-seater capacity auditorium and a modern studio, according to a release from his media aide, Abdurrahman Bundi.

“I believe the Executive Secretary is doing well and I commend him for that. The projects we have commissioned today are the result of a well-thought-out design for the agency’s management, executed with the limited funds available from the agency’s collection charges,” Zulum said.

He pointed out that all the completed projects, including those not part of the commissioning, were funded by a small 5% collection fee from BOGIS, emphasizing that he had not allocated any additional funds for the projects.

“I commend the Executive Secretary for his prudence and resourcefulness,” Zulum added.

The governor was accompanied by top state officials, including the Secretary to the Borno State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijani, the Head of Service, Barrister Mallam Fannami, commissioners, and other senior government officials.
