Gov Zulum Condoles with Katsina Governor Radda Over Mother’s Passing

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, paid a condolence visit on Sunday evening to Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safra’u Umaru.

Hajiya Safra’u Umaru passed away on Saturday night in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, at the age of 93. She was laid to rest on Sunday in Radda Village, Katsina State, according to a statement issued by Zulum’s media aide, Abdurraman Bundi.

Governor Zulum was accompanied by Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, during the visit. The two governors expressed their condolences to Governor Radda and his family, offering prayers for the repose of the deceased’s soul.

The late Hajiya Safra’u Umaru was remembered as a respected Fulani matriarch who upheld values of integrity, perseverance, and community service. Her legacy extends beyond her immediate family, inspiring many who knew her.

She is survived by several children, including the Village Head of Radda, Alhaji Kabir Umaru Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umaru Radda, former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
