Governor Abba Kabir Mourns Bebeji LG Chairman, Sani Kanti Ranka

Kano state governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf has expressed grief over the death of Bebeji local government chairman, Alhaji Sani Kanti Ranka.

Alhaji sani died on Friday night after a brief illness as contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo on behalf of the state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who is the Commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, described the death as “deeply painful and a huge loss, not only to his immediate family but the entire state and the nation.”

He further said late Sani Kanti was a peaceful man with wealth of experience in politics and service to the people, and according to the statement, “He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.” He was since buried according to Islamic rites and left behind families.
