The Sokoto state governor,Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto made the appeal while receiving the Minister of Aviation at government house Sokoto who was in the state to witness the flag of conveying 3,178 first batch of Sokoto intending pilgrims to Holyland.
He said people of the state often complained of cancellation of flights and too much delaying of flight from Abuja to Sokoto and therefore implore the Minister to look into the matter so as to find the lasting solution which for certain the Minister has the capacity to amend things in order going by his records of achievements.
He nicknamed the Minister as reliable,dependable,tasted and trusted, a uniter not a divider and above all a reservoir of knowledge.
Welcoming the Minister Governor Ahmad expressed delight over the visit saying it is a day of bragging as he cannot find an English word enough to express his gratitude but prayed to Supreme Creator to give more courage, to give him sound health and ability to continue the good works the Minister has started and is doing for Nigeria
He promised him a traditional title from the seat of the Caliphate
He commended President Tinubu for introducing measures to make the aviation industry better and also the Minister for working tirelessly to ensure the success of the new law of the Presidents’ agenda.
Ahmad Sokoto similarly commended the President and Aviation Industry for appointing able leader adding that Justice Kiamu is a person who can be trusted with a responsibility and expect good result and then wished him successful tenure of office.
Earlier, the Minister of Aviation Justice Kiamu stated that they were in the state to see the revolutionary work done by governor Ahmad in the field of preparation for 2024 Hajj airlift and commended the governor for transforming the metropolis to modernity within one year of his leadership.
