Governor Ahmed Aliyu Revitalizes Sokoto Cabinet with Fresh Appointments

By Muhammad Ibrahim, Sokoto

Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has bolstered his administration by swearing in seven new commissioners to replace those who transitioned to lead local government councils. This move underscores the governor’s commitment to efficient governance and the realization of his 9-point development agenda.

The newly appointed commissioners, selected based on merit, bring diverse expertise from public service and academia. Their inclusion aims to introduce fresh perspectives, ensuring the government effectively addresses critical areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and job creation.

Governor Aliyu emphasized the importance of integrity and accountability during the swearing-in ceremony, urging the appointees to serve diligently and uphold transparency in their roles.

This strategic reshuffle fills the leadership gap created by former commissioners who assumed local government roles after winning elections. The move has reignited public confidence in the administration’s ability to deliver on promises of socioeconomic transformation for Sokoto State.

Governor Aliyu reaffirmed his administration’s focus on equitable resource distribution and inclusive governance. He highlighted the importance of fostering dialogue between the government and citizens to build trust and advance his vision for unity and shared progress.

The new appointments are expected to enhance the efficiency of the Executive Council, driving Sokoto State towards sustainable growth and development.
