Gunmen in Delta Community Abduct Anglican Pastor, His Wife, and Children

By  Milcah  Tanimu

A disturbing incident unfolded as Reverend Agbadamashi Emmanuel, an Anglican pastor, along with his wife and children, fell victim to a kidnapping by armed individuals near the Evwreni junction on the East-West road.

The incident occurred on a Friday as the Anglican clergyman and his family were en route from Ughelli to the Uwheru community within Ughelli North Local Government Area of the State. Suddenly, the gunmen intercepted them, forcibly leading them into the nearby wilderness.

This unsettling development was officially confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Anglican Communion, Ughelli Diocese, Honorable Justice Iyasere in Warri on Monday morning.

As of the time of this report, the kidnapped pastor, his wife, and their children remain in captivity. The Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, has pledged to provide updates as soon as information is obtained from the Divisional Police Officer.
