Al Khauthar Travel and Tours has announced plans to launch a fully automated online registration portal ahead of the 2026 Hajj, as part of efforts to streamline pilgrimage processes and enhance customer experience.
The new portal will enable intending pilgrims for both Hajj and Umrah to select travel packages, submit biodata and e-passport details, make payments, and interact with sales agents—all with minimal physical contact.
Chairman and CEO of Al Khauthar, Hajiya Rabiatu Umar, said the innovation is in line with global trends toward the digitalisation of religious tourism services.
“The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced various technological solutions, and it’s clear where the industry is heading. Hajj and Umrah will increasingly be driven by technology, and Al Khauthar cannot afford to be left behind,” she said.
Hajiya Umar added that the company is partnering with major international service providers to expand its operations beyond Nigeria.
Al Khauthar was among the top ten licensed Nigerian tour operators that facilitated pilgrimages during the 2025 Hajj.
