Halima Abubakar Alleges Eviction From Abuja Home Over Rent Dispute

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has said she was asked to vacate her Abuja residence by her landlady, despite indicating her willingness to renew her rent.

In a video shared on social media, the actress said she was ejected from the property, where she reportedly pays ₦2.5 million annually. She did not provide details of any formal notice or the specific reason given by the landlady.

Abubakar, who has previously spoken publicly about ongoing health challenges, said her condition has affected her finances, career and overall wellbeing. She has been largely absent from movie productions in recent years due to the health issues.

In the video, she appealed for support and said some individuals had sent her financial assistance to help her cope with the situation.

The actress did not name the property owner, and there has been no independent confirmation of the circumstances surrounding the alleged eviction.

Abubakar has in the past received public support from fans and colleagues after disclosing her health struggles, which she said disrupted her acting career and income.

Her representatives have not issued an official statement on the matter, and it remains unclear whether any legal steps are being taken regarding the housing dispute.
