Pastor Bolaji Idowu, founder of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), has publicly refuted claims of his arrest over alleged involvement in real estate fraud and money laundering.
Speaking during his *Next Level Prayer* programme on Wednesday, Pastor Idowu addressed the allegations circulating on social media, categorically denying any involvement in real estate activities or financial misconduct.
“Over the last 24 hours, there has been a lot of news about me on social media. I just want to state some facts clearly,” Idowu said. “Number one, I do not have any property in Nigeria, and anybody that has contrary evidence can provide it. The only properties I have are those willed to me by my late parents.”
The cleric added that he is neither involved in buying nor selling properties and dismissed claims of receiving large sums of money into his accounts. “Someone said I received billions into my account; my accounts are public, and anyone can verify if I’ve ever received such amounts,” he said.
Idowu reassured his congregation of his innocence and expressed gratitude for their prayers and support. “Thank you for showing me love. This is just to let you know that we are victorious in everything. As you were reading the reports, I was also reading them,” he stated.
The denial comes after reports on social media alleged that Pastor Idowu had been arrested and was under investigation by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) of the Nigerian Police Force for financial crimes.
While Pastor Idowu has dismissed the allegations, the claims have sparked widespread discussions online.
