Hazras Charity Foundation Distributes Food Aid to Vulnerable Communities in Three States

By Jabiru Hassan

Hazras Charity Foundation (HCF) has completed a food distribution exercise targeting vulnerable residents in selected communities across Niger, Kano and Yobe states.According to the foundation, beneficiaries were identified through a data-driven process carried out by field teams assigned to the participating states. The selection focused on households considered most in need, including widows, the elderly and low-income families.

HCF said the exercise followed its established guidelines to ensure that assistance reached only verified vulnerable persons. The distribution was coordinated under the leadership of Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Abdullateef Abdulkadir, National Chairman of the foundation. In a statement, the organisation said the initiative forms part of its ongoing humanitarian interventions aimed at easing food insecurity among disadvantaged populations.

HCF also disclosed that it currently works as a local delivery partner to Muslim Aid Australia in Nigeria, supporting the implementation of humanitarian programmes in line with agreed operational standards.

The foundation added that its activities are guided by internal governance policies and donor regulations, with a focus on transparency and accountability. It noted that it has received commendations from community leaders and institutions for its interventions, though it did not provide specific details.

Hazras Charity Foundation said it remains committed to expanding its support for vulnerable groups as resources permit, particularly during periods of heightened need.
