Hazras Charity Foundation Emerges as Trusted Humanitarian Delivery Partner in Nigeria

By Jabiru Hassan

Hazras Charity Foundation (HCF) has been described as a trusted and reliable delivery partner in humanitarian interventions, following its consistent record of providing timely assistance to vulnerable communities across Nigeria.

Founded in 2023 by a group of civic-minded individuals, the foundation has steadily built a reputation for effective humanitarian service delivery. Through targeted relief efforts, educational support, and community-based interventions, HCF has focused on improving the living conditions of less-privileged persons across different regions.Since its establishment, Hazras Charity Foundation has prioritized support for vulnerable populations affected by disasters, poverty, and limited access to basic services. The organization says its mission is anchored on ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most, in line with the purpose for which the foundation was created.

By the end of 2025, the foundation had delivered multiple relief items to communities impacted by natural disasters and socio-economic challenges. These interventions, according to the foundation, were aimed at alleviating hardship and restoring dignity to affected populations.HCF’s activities span several sectors, including human development programs, educational support initiatives, and emergency relief projects. Observers note that the foundation’s interventions have contributed to improved access to learning materials for schoolchildren and basic necessities for displaced and disaster-affected families.

The foundation is managed by what it describes as a team of competent and experienced professionals who emphasize transparency, accountability, and dedication. This management structure, HCF says, has enabled it to achieve measurable results within a relatively short period. In collaboration with its international partner, Muslims Aid Australia (MAA), Hazras Charity Foundation has carried out humanitarian assistance in line with global best practices. The partnership has supported the foundation’s objective of delivering aid impartially and efficiently to beneficiaries, regardless of background.

Among the foundation’s notable interventions was the provision of relief materials worth millions of naira to victims of the historic Maiduguri flood in Borno State. The foundation also distributed food packs to flood victims in Mokwa, Niger State, providing immediate relief to affected households. In the education sector, Hazras Charity Foundation supplied learning materials to schools across Kano and Jigawa states, covering 10 local government areas. The initiative was designed to support pupils from low-income families and improve access to basic educational resources.

More recently, the foundation extended its outreach to Givi State, where food items, clothing, and other essential materials were distributed to selected vulnerable persons. Beneficiaries were identified through assessments conducted by the foundation’s field staff to ensure fairness and effectiveness. Speaking during an end-of-year interactive session with journalists, the National Chairman of Hazras Charity Foundation, Dr. Abdullateef Abdulkadir, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to humanitarian service. He said the foundation would continue to implement people-centered projects aimed at reducing hardship.

The Chairlady of the Board of Trustees, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso, also emphasized the foundation’s readiness to expand its interventions. She noted that HCF’s work is intended to complement government efforts in providing basic social infrastructure to disadvantaged communities.“Hazras Charity Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to supporting people in need, especially at a time when livelihoods are increasingly challenged,” the leadership stated, while commending Muslims Aid Australia for its continued support of humanitarian causes.
