I invented Afro Gospel to win souls for Christ- Evangelist Rukayat Adelekan

The Gospel music sphere has entered another dimension with the debut of a new genre of Afro Pop Gospel music launched by the latest Gospel music Artist Evangelist Rukayat Adebola Adelekan.
With the stage name Ruky 1 has changed the Gospel wave with her latest Album, ” Starting Point” Season 3 which was recently launched in Abuja.
Starting Point Season 3, a six track Album according to Ruky 1 is actually an inspiration from God to win more souls for Christ and to change the trend of Gospel music in Africa.
In a chat with Daybreak Ruky 1 said, “Afro Gospel is first of it’s kind , l am into worship music but I had to digress a little to flow with the trend while bringing more people to God. The believe is that it is only Pop music that can one can use to propagate the Gospel but Afro genre had proved this wrong because the Spirit of God inspired this .”
According to the Gospel Artist and mother of four combining music, and the home front has not being easy but for the grace of God upon her.
She said, ” “My husband Apostle Adewale Adelekan has also being a pillar of support in my career, including my God-fearing children.
Speaking on her future plans as a Gospel Singer Ruky 1 said that she’s hopeful on conquering more grounds as she spreads the Afro Gospel around the world.
Rukayat Adelekan is from a Muslim family but got converted to Christianity when she married Apostle Adelekan in 1990.
She immediately got involved in the Vineyard work, first as an usher and an intercessor within the intercessory group known as ”Alisha Army”.

Rev. Adebola Adelekan’s music career has a rich background which has taken her to places. She started her musicals as a pioneer member of the choir of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Karu, Abuja (now called Praise Assembly Parish).
