Igoche Mark to Honour Lagos Legends Basketball Club at Grand Abuja Reception

In recognition of their historic victory in the recently concluded Nigeria Basketball Premier League, Lagos Legends Basketball Club will be celebrated at a grand reception hosted by prominent basketball promoter Igoche Mark in Abuja on Monday.

The Lagos-based team defeated Rivers Hoopers 74-72 in a thrilling Final 4 decider held in Port Harcourt on November 24, 2025, clinching the league title. Their victory also secures them a place in next year’s Basketball Africa League (BAL), marking a milestone achievement for Nigerian basketball.

Igoche Mark, the initiator of the Mark D’ Ball Basketball Championship, invited basketball stakeholders, officials, and enthusiasts to the reception. The event is set to honour Lagos Legends’ dedication, excellence, and contribution to the sport.

The reception will gather prominent figures in Nigerian basketball, including NBBF officials, coaches, players, and fans, to celebrate the team’s hard-fought triumph and historic qualification for the BAL.
