INEC Issues Certificates of Return to Winners of By-Election and Rerun

On Wednesday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) awarded Certificates of Return to victors of the recent rerun and by-elections held in 26 states across Nigeria.

Seven political parties clinched seats in both the National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly during the elections.

The presentation ceremony was presided over by INEC national commissioners representing the respective states where the by-elections and reruns occurred.

Senators-elect who received their Certificates of Return at the INEC headquarters in Abuja include Prof. Anthony Okorie of the All Progressives Congress (representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Ebonyi), Pam Dachungyang of the Action Democratic Party (representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Plateau), and Musa Mustapha of the APC (representing Yobe East Senatorial District, Yobe).

Members-elect of the House of Representatives who were awarded Certificates of Return include Ifeanyi Ozokwe (representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Anambra, under the YPP), Clara Nnabuife (representing Orumba North/Orumba South Federal Constituency, Anambra, also under the YPP), Ehindero Babatunde (representing Akoko North East/Akoko North-West Federal Constituency, Ondo, under the APC), and Daniel Ago (representing Jos North/ Basa Federal Constituency, Plateau, under the LP).
