International Women’s Day – Senator Daduut salutes First lady Oluremi Tinubu ,other women

Senator Nora Ladi Daduut felicitates Nigerian women as they celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Jos ,Senator Daduut said “I salute Her Excellency Sen. Oluremi Tinubu CON.the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and all women folk on this great International Women’s Day.

According to the statement ” As we celebrate this day I call on Women to remain resilient, focused and dedicated to our duties towards our families and our Nation.”

“We are patient Nation Builders with great minds, passionate to move the Nation forward in order to live in peace and harmony to the glory of God. ”

Daduut described the theme of the 2024 International Women’s Day, “Invest in women: Accelerate progress,” as crucial in ensuring a promising future for girls.

She said our first lady Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu is already working hard to better the lives of women in the country .

Daduut who represented Plateau South Senatorial District in the 9th National assembly further said ” I must commend Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu for putting into motion her pledge to support the cause of Nigerian women through the launch of the “No Woman No Nation”, renewed hope, a women empowerment initiative as this is in line with the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda of empowering women across the country.

Daduut the first female Senator from Plateau who is an advocate of women participation in politics said “Our women also deserve support and encouragement to participate without discrimination in governance and public affairs in general.”

Senator Daduut also described Nigerian women as hardworking, patriotic, resilient, and committed to selfless service for the nation’s growth and productivity.

Senator Daduut urge women in the country to support the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration as it is determined to better the lives of citizens of the Nation
