ISWAP Executes Abducted Policeman In Borno

Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) has executed a police officer who was abducted along the Damboa-Biu Road in Borno State.

Counter-insurgency expert and security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that on Sunday, April 7, 2024, around 10:00 am, the officer was traveling with his wife and children from Damboa to Biu for the Eid break when they took an alternate route.

Suspected ISWAP terrorists kidnapped the police officer and his family near the Shokotoko general area, roughly 73 kilometers south of Damboa.

Later that evening, the officer’s wife and children were released, but the terrorists executed the police officer.
