Italian Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma Attacked and Robbed at Home in Paris

Must read

Gianluigi Donnarumma, the talented goalkeeper currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), fell victim to a horrifying attack and robbery at his home in Paris, France. The incident occurred on July 21 when armed robbers targeted the Italy national team’s first-choice goalkeeper at his flat in the eighth area of Paris.

During the attack, Donnarumma’s girlfriend, Alessia Elefante, was present, adding to the distressing nature of the incident. The gang of robbers confronted the football star, leading to a violent encounter that left Donnarumma with minor injuries.

In fear for their safety, Donnarumma and his girlfriend had to flee their residence and seek refuge at a nearby hotel. The hotel staff promptly provided assistance and arranged for medical attention for Donnarumma, despite his girlfriend not being physically harmed.

According to unconfirmed reports on the news website Actu17, the attackers made off with expensive watches, jewels, and leather goods worth up to €500,000 from Donnarumma’s house.

In response to the incident, the agency representing the footballer issued a statement, expressing that Donnarumma and his girlfriend are in shock but coping as well as possible under such terrible circumstances. They are fully cooperating with the police, who have commenced their investigations into the incident.

Sadly, Donnarumma is not the first PSG player to have been targeted by robbers. Past and present players, such as Marquinhos, Angel Di Maria, Thiago Silva, Dani Alves, and Eric Choupo-Moting, have also experienced similar attacks while playing for the French Ligue 1 champions. The incident highlights the concerning issue of security and safety for high-profile athletes in certain areas.
