Jigawa govt approves 18 road projects at over N22billion

The Jigawa state government has approved construction of eighteen road projects across the state.

This was stated by the commissioner of works and housing engr Aminu Usman while briefing newsmen shortly after The state’s executive council meeting chaired by the executive governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar held at Government House in Dutse.

He said that is part of state government effort to improve infrastructure and provides easy access to education and health facilities across the state and improved economic activities of its populace.

“Jigawa State Executive has approved the award of contract for the Eighteen (18) no of roads projects at the total sum of Twenty Two Billion Three Hundred and Twenty One Million, Five Hundred and Fourth Eight thousand, Twenty Nine Naira, Ten Kobo, (N22,321,548,029.10)” He stated.

He said that the roads projects consists of four regional, six feeder roads and eight township roads.

He explained that the four regional roads include, Kwanar. Mwdi- Danzomo- Garki (29.51km) ,construction ofTaura- Garki Riad(29.68Km), construction of Balago- Kadowawa- Dumadumin Kyaure- Dumadumin Toka- Auno Road (41.2km) and Construction of Guducin- Aguyaka Road (4.30km).

The commissioner also revealed that the the eight township roads includes,Construction of Miga Township Road phase ll (3.1km), conatruction of Gumel Township Road Phase lll (4.73Km), construction of Access Roads to 744, Sabuwar Takur and Yalwawa Township Roads (8.1km) and Construction of Kiyawa Township Roads Phasell (4km).

Others includes Construction of Jigawa Dan Ali Township Road (2.1km) ,Construction of Kanya Babba Township Roads (2.08km),Construction of Chaichai Tsohuwa Township Roads (1.23km) and Construction of Zandam Nagogo Township Road (2.38km).

Aminu Usman also revealed that the feeder roads includes Construction of Kazaure- Fanda- Sabaru- Gallu- Karkarna Feeder Road(16km),Construction of Sada- Kanawa- Dankari Nasarawa- Kuda Feeder Road,Construction of Kaugama- Malam Madori and Construction of Birnin Kudu – Zazika – Kwangwara-Nafadan Kanawa – Nafadan Warjawa- Marmara- Kwatai- Nafara Feeder Road (33km).

Others includes,Construction of Hammado- Danfarantama- Mele- Baikarya- Garin Baki- Kokimi- Liman Mado Feeder Road (32.76km) and Construction of Kanya- Duzau- Goron Maje Feeder Road (19km).

He therefore urged Jigawa populace to continue supporting APC administration to benefits more with the dividends of democracy.
