Just In: Bandits attacks T/Ruler’s Palace in S/Kaduna, abducts wife

Armed Bandits have reportedly launched an attack on the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga local government area in Southern part of Kaduna state, and allegedly kidnapped the wife.

Earlier, report by the locals had it that the traditional ruler, Alh Umar Musa was reportedly abducted along with his wife to unknown destination by the Bandits, last night.

However, a statement issued later on Thursday morning and signed by the National President of the Ninzo Community Development Association (NCDA), Prof. Moses Audu and the Secretary, Mr Silas John Anche, confirmed the attacked, adding that the traditional ruler escaped while his wife was kidnapped during the attacked.

The association also condemned the attack on the apex sociocultural body of the Ninzo people in strong terms, and described it as a monumental attack on its community and the people of Ninzo and “indeed Sanga local government area of kaduna state.

The statement made available to newsmen Thursday morning in Kaduna is titled: “NCDA condemned reported kidnapped of paramount ruler’s wife, (UCHU FADAN-NINZO 15th).

“Following the ugly and barbaric attack on the sacred palace of the paramount Ruler of the Ninzo chiefdom in Sanga local government area of Kaduna state, the apex sociocultural body of the Ninzo people has condemn, in strong terms, what they described as a monumental attack on its Community and the people of Ninzo and indeed Sanga local government area of Kaduna state.

“Ninzo Community Development Association say the reported planned kidnapped of their traditional Ruler, UCHU NINZO 15th, Alh Umar Musa, led to the disappearances of his wife is unfortunate, uncalled for and brazen attack on the peace loving people of the chiefdom and indeed Sanga local government area of kaduna state”, it stated.

The association expressed shock over the sad incident and called on the Kaduna state government and relevant security agencies to swift into action with a view to rescuing the wife of the traditional Ruler whom is known as a peace lover and Community emancipator.

It however appealed to sons and daughters of the Ninzo chiefdom imbibe the spirit of patience and respect for the constituted authorities while also urging for calm with a view to allowing government live up to its responsibility.

The statement also enjoined all Ninzo sons and daughters home and abroad to commit the paramount Ruler into prayers for God Almighty to Grant his wife safe returns.

Earlier report said “The paramount Ruler of Ninzo chiefdom in Sanga local area was kidnapped at his palace few hours ago at Fadan-Ninzo in Sanga local government area of kaduna state.

“The attack is sudden and shocking as report confirmed of a heavy gunshots at the palace before and after the Traditional Ruler been kidnapped.

“He ascended the throne peacefully after the demised of the late Paramount Ruler,Alh Ibrahim Yakubu the (UCHU NINZO 14th)”, it stated.
