JUST-IN: Veteran Kannywood Actress Saratu Gidado Daso Is Dead

The Kannywood industry mourns the loss of veteran actress Saratu Gidado, affectionately known as Daso, who has passed away.

News of her demise, announced via local radio stations in Kano, has deeply saddened the entertainment community in Kano State.

According to her family members, Daso peacefully passed away in her sleep during the early hours of Tuesday, following the pre-dawn meal before the start of the day’s Ramadan fast (Sahur).

With an illustrious career spanning over 18 years, Daso was a prominent figure in the Hausa film industry. Her captivating performances and diverse roles endeared her to audiences across the Northern region. Prior to her acting career, Saratu served diligently as a school teacher.

The announcement of her passing has sparked an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues alike. As preparations for her funeral, scheduled for 4:00 pm, are underway, tributes continue to flood in from every corner of the entertainment world.

Beyond her accomplishments on screen, Daso was known as a devoted wife and mother. Her unwavering commitment and passion for her craft served as an inspiration to countless aspiring actors and actresses in the Kannywood industry.
