Kaduna Government Warns Against Illegal Land Sales at NNPC Quarters in Sabon Tasha

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

The Kaduna State Government has warned members of the public against purchasing land within the NNPC Quarters area in Mahuta, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna, stating that the reported sales do not have official approval.

The warning was issued by the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), the state agency responsible for land administration. In a statement signed by its Director-General and shared with journalists, the agency said no valid land titles have been issued or authorised for transactions in the affected area.

KADGIS explained that the alleged land sales violate the conditions of the existing Development Lease Agreement (DLA) and conflict with provisions of the Land Use Act as well as the Nigerian Urban and Regional Planning Act.

The agency urged the public to avoid buying land in the area unless the property carries a valid title issued through KADGIS.It further cautioned that any company, group, or individual involved in buying or selling land within the NNPC Quarters area without state approval does so at their own risk, as such transactions may not be recognised by the government.

KADGIS advised prospective buyers to verify all land documents through the agency to prevent fraud, legal disputes, and financial losses. For enquiries or verification, the public can contact the agency through its official office at No. 31 Ali Akilu Road, P.M.B. 2079, Kaduna.

The notice, according to the agency, is intended to promote transparency and ensure orderly land administration in Kaduna State.
