Kaduna PDP Chairman Urges Wike to Resolve Party Crisis

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Felix Hassan Hyat, the Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to avoid actions that could damage the PDP. Hyat’s appeal, made in Kaduna on Tuesday, urged Wike to resolve disputes through dialogue rather than issuing threats against PDP governors supporting Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.

Amid ongoing party tensions, Wike had previously warned PDP governors to steer clear of Rivers State politics or face potential turmoil. Hyat responded by highlighting the importance of unity among party members, emphasizing that Wike’s previous support from fellow governors should be reciprocated.

Hyat stated, “Wike should recall how his colleagues supported him during his governorship. The same principle should apply now. It’s counterproductive to isolate governors when the party is at risk.”

He further criticized Wike’s stance, stressing that collective support is crucial for the party’s success and urging Wike to embrace reconciliation over division. Hyat’s message underscores the need for constructive dialogue to address internal conflicts and preserve the party’s integrity.
