Kanayo O. Kanayo Denies Involvement in Money Rituals

By Daniel Edu

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has refuted claims of being associated with money rituals, despite his fame for portraying occultic roles in Nigerian movies.

In an interview with Afia TV, the actor clarified that the name ‘Nnanyi Sacrifice’ was bestowed upon him during the funeral of the late mother of Nigerian billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana. He immediately rejected the name, but it stuck.

Kanayo, who is also a lawyer, emphasized his strong stance against money rituals, asserting that he has never been involved in or attempted such illicit activities.

He expressed his indifference to the names people might call him as long as he receives his payment.

Kanayo stated, “Money ritual is not good and will never be good. I will never be part of it and have never been part of it. When you hear somebody call me ‘Nnanyi Sacrifice,’ it was just the name somebody called me during Obi Cubana’s mother’s burial.”

He concluded by emphasizing that he is simply a vessel for delivering messages through his acting.
