Bichi Pensioners Elect New Executives

The Bichi Local Government chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners has elected new executives to steer its affairs in a peaceful and hitch-free election.

The exercise, conducted in an orderly manner, saw all key officers emerge unopposed. Those elected include Alhaji Sulaiman Mu’azu as Chairman, Hassan Magaji Saye as Vice Chairman, and Muhammad Bawa as Treasurer. Others are Garba Abdu Kanwa as Auditor and Auwalu Garba as Trustee.

Speaking shortly after the election, the Returning Officer from the State Pension Union Secretariat, Alhaji Shu’aibu Musa, commended members for their support and cooperation throughout the process.

Also addressing the gathering, the Chairman of Bichi Local Government, Alhaji Hamza Sule Maifata, pledged the council’s support for the new executives in discharging their responsibilities.

In his response, the newly elected Chairman, Alhaji Sulaiman Mu’azu, assured members that the executives would work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them.
