By Jabiru Hassan, Kano.

The newly additional Emirates created by the Ganduje administration should be allowed to exists because they were created to bring more progress and development in Kano state’s traditional institutions.

This was expressed by the residents in a series of chats with our correspondent, where they opined that from the creation of additional 4 emirates, Kano state has witnessed rapid development in every sector and their existence would makes the state greater.

Malam Abubakar Adam from Karaye emirate stated that the past administration has created additional emirates not to put pains in the hearts of our people, but to bring more progress in to our state in the traditional institutions, and I am certain that everybody remained a witness that there is good development in Kano state”. He concluded.

Similarly, Alhaji Usman Suleiman from Kano emirate disclosed that ” Traditional institutions are very vital in the promotion of peace and unity in our societies, and from what we have seen since the creation of additional 4 Emirates, the development formular is now impressive at Bichi, Gaya, Karaye, and Rano Emirates respectively.

In conclusion, those who talk to Daybreak News disowned some groups of people who are calling the kano state government to dissolve the 4 Emirates and install the deposed emir Sanusie Lamido as the sole emir in the state which is a great set back to the earlier developments recorded under the 5 Emirates.
