Kano NNPP Chairman Hails Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf for Civil Engineering Profession Award

The Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Dr. Hashimu Sulaiman Dungurawa, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on receiving the Civil Engineering Profession Award from the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers (NICE).

Speaking shortly after the award presentation, Dr. Dungurawa described the recognition as a well-deserved honour that reflects the governor’s dedication to infrastructure development and service to the people of Kano State.

According to him, the award will further motivate Governor Yusuf to continue delivering impactful projects that improve the lives of citizens.

“This prestigious award has come at the right time when our executive governor is working tirelessly to transform our great state with the best of his ability,” Dr. Dungurawa said.

He added that under Governor Yusuf’s leadership, the people of Kano State have continued to enjoy the dividends of democracy through various infrastructural projects and people-centered initiatives spread across both rural and urban communities.

Dr. Dungurawa reaffirmed the NNPP’s confidence in the governor’s leadership, noting that his administration remains focused on transparency, accountability, and inclusive development.

“Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is a leader whose primary objective is the progress of Kano State. It is gratifying to see him changing the face of the state into an exemplary model of governance,” he stated.

The NNPP chairman commended the governor’s efforts in fostering development that benefits citizens across all sectors and demographics. He expressed optimism that the award would inspire the governor to intensify his commitment to infrastructural excellence and sustainable growth.

Dr. Dungurawa also praised the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers for recognizing Governor Yusuf’s contributions to the engineering profession and his efforts toward modernizing infrastructure in Kano.

He called on residents to continue supporting the governor’s administration as it strives to consolidate good governance and ensure equitable development throughout the state.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who has a background in civil engineering, has been widely commended for prioritizing infrastructure, road rehabilitation, and urban renewal projects since assuming office. His recognition by NICE underscores his professional contributions and his government’s achievements in driving development across Kano State.
