Karu LG health facilities overstretched by FCT residents – Monarch

Karu first class traditional ruler, Pharm. Luka Panya, the Etsu Karu has expressed worry over high patronage of Federal Capital Territory FCT residents to the few health facilities in local government in the state

The royal father stated this in his palace on Thursday when governor Abdullahi Sule paid him a courtesy call on a thank you visit to the people of Karu to mark his two year in office.

The Etsu Karu while commending the governor for his giant stride since the past two years in office, noted that the only one medical center In Mararaba is been highly patronised by residents of Kurudu, Jukwei, Karshi in FCT.

He appealed to governor Sule to upgrade and build more health facilities in Karu to enable residents access health facility more easily, noting that the population of Karu is on the increase on daily basis.

Other areas the Etsu Karu wants government impute urgently includes approval and appointment of district heads in communities like Aso, communities in Panda development areas and other urbanized communities in the local government.

“Some communities in Karu, Panda development area has grown big to have district heads to coordinate and also serve as our ears and eyes especially with the insecurity challenges in the country.

The traditional ruler also drew the attention of the governor to construct some feeder roads to alleviate the unbearable hardship rural dwellers are facing in the local government.

In his remarks, governor Sule thanked the Etsu and the people of Karu for their support and peaceful coexistence.

Sule noted that Karu local government is hosting community to every tribe in Nigeria, hence the need to give close attention.
Sule however promised to look into the request with sense of urgency.
