Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has urged Christians across the country to utilize the Easter celebration as an opportunity to strengthen their faith in God and foster unity for the betterment of the nation.
In his Easter message issued on Friday and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Christian community in Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole on the occasion of Easter.
Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized the enduring significance of Easter, which symbolizes themes of love, sacrifice, compassion, unity, and the triumph of good over evil.
He encouraged citizens to reflect deeply on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the values he imparted to humanity, emphasizing the need for unity and collective growth in the nation.
AbdulRazaq called on everyone to use the Easter period to renew their commitment to upholding goodness and justice, while also extending a warm wish for a joyous Easter celebration to the Christian community.
The Federal Government had previously declared Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, 2024, as public holidays for Christians to observe Good Friday and Easter Monday, respectively.
