Langtang North Authorities Intercept Expired Products, Drugs

By Israel Adamu, Jos

Several fake and expired products were intercepted on Wednesday in shops, kiosks, and stalls across Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Council Chairman, Hon. Pirfa Tyem, described the items as dangerous to health and lives, warning that their circulation would not be tolerated.

“We had earlier warned merchants about these fake products in circulation,” he said. “The law spares no defaulter, and anyone caught will face the full consequences.”

Tyem reaffirmed the council’s determination to track down and eliminate harmful products threatening communities, stressing that public health is non-negotiable.

It will be recalled that the chairman had recently raised the alarm over the circulation of fake products and drugs in the council. He also pledged that those engaged in the act would be prosecuted.
