Launched NLTP: An Endorsement of AA Sule Governance Paradigm

By Adefolarin A. Olamilekan

Without doubt, the co-ordination of the system, people and the polity is the responsibility of government who is the custodian of the sovereignty of the entire citizenry which collectively and willingly they submitted to it return for peaceful and meaningful co-existence propelled by law and good governance.

It is therefore pertinent to say that the responsibility of government is to provide effective and efficient framework and enabling environment to enhance the social, physical, financial and general well being of the populace or efforts of the components of the state especially human being are effectively and efficiently galvanized toward productive activities and in the best interest of the state and citizens determines the extent of the “goodness” or otherwise of its government.

President Buhari’s administration has deliberately initiated the NLTP to develop the livestock sub-sector that was not given proper attention in the past.

Penultimate, the Federal Government of Nigeria launched the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) in the Awe Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State.

One cardinal objective of NLTP is to ensure that herders stay in a confide place to develop their economy with the government providing the necessary environment and support just like it is supporting other sectors.

Another is it would succeefully reduce the increasing farmers herders crisis and other criminality in the country.

The NLTP ranching project in Awe LGA of Nasarawa State is on 22,000 hectares of land. Meanwhile the NLTP over 360 households in Awe were captured to benefits in the project. Similarly, the NLTP ranching project in Awe LGA of Nasarawa State would provide technical assistance and desirable amenities suitable of a contemporary reaching scheme.

Fundamentally, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State keying into the inventiveness of FG NLTP ranching project. For instance, the NLTP project is one of latest model to deal with the security troubles connected with open grazing.Admittedly, it also am approach in tackling dilemma in Nasarawa/Benue boarders.

Critically, Governor AA Sule governance style and brand depicts a leadership quality in actualization of public opinion through representative government. His brand of governance adhere to constitutional responsibility, and promote checks and balances among various arms of the government; ensured stable government, equitable sharing of economic resources and guard fundamental human rights.

Arguably, weak leadership can deprive the people of development and service delivery. Since May, 2019, Governor AA Sule has demonstrated capacity through his brand of leadership translating into developmental strides. Evidence of this is found his first 100 days administration and many more in just two years of his stewardship to our dear state.

Debatably, there are still huge rooms for improvement and greater opportunities abound for Governor AA Sule and his team.Moreso, they must take responsibility by creating legacy that would outlive his administration.Besides, the success of AA Sule, is nothing but for posterity and Nasarawa state greatness.
