LGBTQ Members Still Missing After 2011 Invasion

As a result of the incident that happened in September 2011 where old women invaded an apartment and beat one Mrs Omolara Shoyinka Omolara who engaged in bisexual activities in Lagos.

The women sees such act as abomination and also against the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria which is punishable under the law and such person can be arrested and prosecuted by law enforcement agents such as police authority.

Yesterday our reporter went back to the area to know the update of the incident. It was gathered that Mrs. Omolara Shoyinka have been engaging in such act since her secondary school days.

They also have there male members which include one Mr. Opeyemi Odeboju who is the ring leader that was cordinating the meeting. The information we got from the neighbours around was that Mrs. Omolara Shoyinka and one other person who they can’t identify was beaten.

The information we gathered from the residents of the community yesterday from one of their neighbours said Omolara Shoyinka was beaten and tortured during the period the old women invaded the apartment because anyone who engaging in Bisexual activities had contravene the law because it was not in consonance with the marriage Act of Nigeria.

While disassociating themselves from the attempt of their neighbour (Omolara Shoyinka) from the bisexual allegation. The residents announced that they have not set their eyes on her and her husband since the allegation was levelled against her in September 2011 and all efforts to look for her proved abortive. Also, Omolara Shoyinka’s family have not heard from their daughter.

The family also disowned Omolara Shoyinka for planning to violate the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria while their ring leader of the group in the name of Mr.Opeyemi Odeboju, their male counterpart and ring leader had ran away and no one knows his whereabout.

However, our reporter gathered from one of the residents that Omolara Shoyinka had relocated out of the country for fear of being attacked again by members of the community.

Her Bisexual partner is no where to be found as no one knows her in the area. According to one of the police Officers which sorted to remain anonymous, he said since her family has failed in their responsibility to train their daughter and prohibit her against the Bisexual habit the police authority will not fold their arms and allow this act to escalate to the entire community due to the fact that Bisexual relationship violates the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Our reporter was informed that police authority had intervened in the matter after the incident and they are looking for her and her associates.

Our reporter said the police authority emphasized that what is critical to them now is how to find out whereabout of Mrs. Omolara Shoyinka and her colleagues.

They confirmed that she need to be arrested and face the law with their male counterpart and ring leader called Mr. Opeyemi Odeboju which is no where to be found as at the time of reporting this incident.
