Local Government Election Is The Foundation Of Democracy – Tambuwal

The Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal made this known shortly after casting his vote at his home town.

He said local councils are the foundation of democracy and closer to the people, better tier of government where people should be allowed to express their support and choice than in the local government elections.

“We are ready to support them organize this 2021 LG election as we did during our first time in 2015.

” From what I have seen in this our polling unit, the turn out is impressive and the electorates are voting according to the rule of the game”.

On the rancour of elections, Tambuwal said people are learning, and the most important thing is to cast your vote and not to cause tension or crisis in the polling unit and, you can only do so in an atmosphere where there is peace.
