The Nasarawa State Government says that it would distribute 1.6million mosquito nets and drugs to the people of the state in order to tackle malaria disease in the state.
This came to lime light when Dr Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, the Director of Public Health, state ministry of Health visited the chairman Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Health Hon.Usman Labaran Shafa alongside other health experts on an advocacy visit to the house.
Dr Alhassan said that the advocacy visit was to seek for support of the committee to enable the ministry succeed when the time for distribution of the mosquito nets and drugs comes.
The director, has assured that the ministry is committed toward tackling malaria and other diseases in the state.
Also speaking, Hon Suleiman Yakubu Azara ( APC- Awe South), Hon David Maiyaki ( PDP- Karu/ Gitata) advocated on the need for the people of the state to always keep their environment clean to tackle malaria and other diseases.
Responding, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, the Chairman, House committee on Health commended the ministry for the visit.
He assured of the assembly’s readiness to support the state government health policies and programmes to succeed.
” We will support you to succeed and to eradicate Malaria and other diseases in the state,” he said.
