Man faces two- count charge of assault and breach of peace

A 26 year old, Sunday Nwolu on Monday was arraigned by the Police Lagos State in a Badagry Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stabbing Uche Onele with a broken bottle.

The Prosecution Counsel,ASP Clement Okuiomose informed the court that the incident happened on the 20th of March, at Alafia Bus stop on Ikoga Zebbe road, Badagry ;at 7:30 pm. Nwolu is arraigned on two-count charge assault and breach of peace.

The complainant reported him at the Police Station and he was arraigned at the court of law.

The Prosecuting Counsel said Nwolu stabbed Onele on his neck and caused him bodily pains, there by contravened the provisions of section 172 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

Although the 26 year old pleaded not guilty; the Chief Magistrate,Mr Fadahunsi Adefioye, admitted him to bail of N200,000 with tow sureties of same sum and therefore adjourned the case until 27th of April.
