APC in Sokoto state has continued to wax strongly in the state, as over 5000 members of the ruling people’s Democratic party, PDP and New Nigeria People’s party, NNPP have quit their parties for the All Progressives congress, APC in Yabo local government area of the state.
The defectors were received during the Progressive Youth Mega rally and Inauguration of 150 APC support Groups organized by Yabo APC Youth in the area.
Bashar Abubakar confirmed that those defected are Vice Chairman of NNPP in the area, Alh. Abdullahi kabawa, Alh.Abdullahi Dogo, Malami Gumba and PDP Women leader in the area Hajiya “Yar-Ango among others.
Announcing the Decampees, APC chairman in the area Alh. Bello Dan Maliki, explained that, APC in the area is restrategizing to ensure victory of the party during the forhcoming elections in the state.
APC Chairman in the state Hon Isah Sadiq Achida, while welcoming the defectors into APC, described APC leader in the state senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as youth friendly leader.
He recalled that, during Wamakko’s regime as Governor, he initiated many youths empowerment programs which impacted positively to the lives of the people of sokoto state.
Speaking, APC leader in the area who is also the Director General of National Teacher’s Institute, NTI Prof. Musa Garba Mai tafsir, commended APC supporters in Yabo local government for the immense support of the party all the times.
He explained that, more people are on the verge of joining the APC towards it’s victory come 2023 elections.
APC leader in the state senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Presented APC candidates before the gathering, they are SOHA Member, Hon. Abubakar Shamaki Yabo, Senat Senatorial Candidate in the Zone, senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba Dambuwa and Gubernatorial and His running mate, Hon. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto FCNA and Hon. Idris Muhammad Gobir before hundred of party’s Members.
Senator Wamakko, called on APC supporters to vote for the party during the upcoming elections.
Senator Wamakko later inaugurated 150 APC Youth support Groups in the area who will canvas more support for the party.
APC Gubernatorial Candidate Hon. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, in his address, Challenged PDP led government in the state to identify the said 78 projects Said to have been executed in Yabo local government.
He pledged to provides tengeble projects aim at impacting positively to the lives of the common man.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of an award of Excellence to APC youth leader in the Alhaji Nasiru Italy by the inaugurated Groups.
