Millions Gutted by Inferno at Sokoto Kara Market

By Muhammad Ibrahim, Sokoto

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has expressed his condolences to the operators at Sokoto Kara Market, following a devastating fire that destroyed several shops and grinding machines in the foodstuff grinding section of the market.

Sympathizing with the victims, Senator Wamakko described the tragic incident as deeply worrying, but also reminded the victims that it is the will of Allah Almighty. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bashar Abubakar, the senator urged the affected traders to accept the loss as part of God’s plan, meant to test their faith and perseverance.

While praying for the recovery of the items lost in the blaze, Senator Wamakko emphasized the importance of taking extra precautions in the future. He advised market operators to always ensure that all electrical appliances are switched off before leaving their places of business.

The fire, which occurred last Friday, resulted in the destruction of numerous grinding machines and food items, leaving many traders devastated.
