By Jabiru Hassan, Kano

The Honorable Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi CON, has issued a heartfelt Christmas message, urging Nigerians to come together in prayer and collective effort for the progress of the nation. In his message, the minister emphasized the importance of unity and love for the country, as well as the need for continued prayers for a brighter future.

“On this momentous occasion of Christmas Day celebration, I am profoundly delighted to felicitate and share with Nigerians the great joy that the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ brings, along with the hope of everlasting salvation,” said Umahi. “Indeed, this Christian festival offers us an opportunity to reflect on the need to renew our gratitude to God, through unflinching love for one another, boundless generosity to our neighbors, and selfless service to humanity. These are divine values required to make the world a better place.”

The Minister called for reflection on personal devotion to the nation, emphasizing the importance of fostering stronger bonds and positive memories in relationships. “Our nation, Nigeria, deserves nothing less than the commitment of love for our country and devotion to peace and progress from all citizens,” he stated.

Umahi also expressed confidence in the progress under the Renewed Hope administration, highlighting improvements in public service delivery, economic growth, and national development. “The private sector window is being created, and the enabling infrastructure is taking shape. Our road infrastructure delivery is being enhanced nationwide to support the growth of our economy,” he added.

He called for reciprocation of faith, hope, solidarity, loyalty, and love for the nation, stressing that these collective efforts are essential for a prosperous and peaceful Nigeria.

The Minister sent warm greetings to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending his leadership and contributions to the country’s development. “I commend him highly for his profound leadership stewardship that is making the desired difference in our development trajectory,” Umahi said.

In conclusion, Umahi expressed his recognition and appreciation for the management and staff of the Federal Ministry of Works for their exceptional efforts in driving the Renewed Hope agenda. He affirmed his belief that, together, a nation of peace and prosperity will be achieved.
