Missing Nine-Year-Old Lagos Boy Found

Must read

Emmanuel Adeyemi, the nine-year-old boy reported missing in Lagos, has been located. Previously highlighted on December 13, Emmanuel’s sudden disappearance on November 19 was a cause of concern for his father, Olasunkanmi Adeyemi, during an evangelical outreach in the Orile-Agege area.

Despite reporting the case to the Elere Police Station in the Agege area, the police had not determined Emmanuel’s whereabouts. However, in a positive turn of events, Emmanuel was found on Monday at an orphanage home in Ikotun, Alimosho Local Government Area.

Officials from the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, formerly known as “Kick Against Indiscipline,” rescued Emmanuel after he was allegedly left in a tricycle with his eyes covered, attracting attention from onlookers. The boy was then taken to the Ikotun Police Station.

Upon receiving the news, Olasunkanmi Adeyemi expressed gratitude to “KAI” officials and mentioned, “They saw the missing child’s picture because it was posted on social media and even in the newspaper. They said they were amazed that this was the missing child that was taken to the police station. In his picture, they saw my mobile number and called me.”

The boy’s father, accompanied by “KAI” officials, visited the orphanage, confirmed Emmanuel’s presence, and subsequently informed the Ikeja Police Station of his recovery. Adeyemi thanked the press for their assistance in locating his son.

As of the time of reporting, there was no response from the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
