Nasarawa: Gov Abdullahi Sule to strengthen state three arms of govt.

Governor sule of Nasarawa state says it will do all it takes to strengthen the three Arms of government in the state to achieve sustainable development. 
Sule was a Participants at a one day summit to mark 24th anniversary of Nasarawa State stressed on his administration commitment to strengthening the three arms of government to entrench vibrant democratic structures in the country.
The governor in his  keynote address at the summit in the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall, Government House Lafia, said democracy will thrive in Nigeria when key actors in the three arms of government play by the rules and regulations guiding them.
He however commended Nigerians for their resilience and unity of purpose which had kept the country together since Independence calling on leaders to let accountability, transparency and prudence in the management of resources as their watchwords for the common good of humanity.
Speaking on the theme ” Examining the Role of the Arms of Government on the Security and Economy of Nasarawa State”, Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment and Economic Planning Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi stated that one out of six persons in Nasarawa State lives below the poverty line as the state is the 12th poorest in Nigeria, stressing that the  need for collective action towards the provision of a conducive  environment that will  allow the citizens to have a sense of belonging in governance.
Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage retired, addressing participants at the  summit to mark the 24th anniversary of Nasarawa state, at Government House Lafia.
Nasarawa State Chairman Council of Chiefs and Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage retired said Nigeria will be better when our leaders dwell more on rule of law and constant engagements with the traditional institutions on issues of national interest given the critical roles they play especially at the grassroots.
A Communiqué is expected at the end of the summit.
