NAWOJ FCT congratulates First Female NUJ FCT Grace lke, Exco over election victory

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ FCT Chapter, has congratulated the newly elected first female Chairman, Comrade Grace Ike and her executive members over their Victory at the Council election which was held at the FCT Chapter Council, Utako.

In a statement signed by Chairperson of FCT NAWOJ, Comrade Bassey Ikpang said that Comrade Grace Ike’s emergence as the first female to lead the Council after 42 years is a milestone achievement in the journalism profession and a source of inspiration for women journalists.

” We are confident that under her leadership, the FCT NUJ Council will continue to address the challenges facing journalists in the Federal Capital Territory.”
The victory of Comrade Ike, and her executives is a well deserved achievement and we look forward to closely work with you to advance the interests of journalists and journalism in Nigeria, Ikpang assured.
