New Police Zone 10 AIG Seeks Sultanate Continuous Support

As contained in statement signed and issued to our correspodent by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer,ASP Usman Yakub Muhammad, the new Assistant Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Lawal Daura,he was at Sultan Palace to seeks for rayal continued support.

In his statement, the Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 10 Headquarters, Sokoto AIG Abubakar Lawal Daura fdc, said that the purpose of this visit was to formally introduce himself as the newly posted AIG of Zone 10 Police Headquarters, Sokoto and solicit for the royal father’s continuous support, and collaboration which the Sultanate council had always extended to Zonal Headquarters.

He noted that kinetic approach alone cannot solve the security challenges bedeviling the Zone, therefore a need for whole society approach to be adopted in mitigating the problems of kidnapping/arm banditry/ cattle rustling and other sundry crimes within the Zone. As it is part of the IGP’s Agenda on imploring Community Policing, partnership and intelligence led policing to solve problems.

In his remarks, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad III CFR, MNI, emphasis that they always give their gratitude to Almighty Allah whom, in His favor allowed hosting this meeting.

“There is need for peace to support any meaningful development in our society. As we need peace to even worship our creator. The purpose of any leadership is to take care of citizens welfare within the society, which include the provision of general security”.

He further emphasis that it becomes necessary to advice security agencies, including the Police to take security measures towards achieving peaceful coexistence.

The Sultan assured the AIG of his total support and cooperation towards securing the zone and beyond and that the AIG is always welcomed to the palace without any protocol.

The Sultan commended the pedigree of the Zonal AIG and wished him a successful tenure.
