New Year: Gov. Ododo Pledges Shared Prosperity and Growth for Kogi State

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has reaffirmed his commitment to economic growth and shared prosperity as the state ushers in 2026.In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo reflected on the achievements of 2025, highlighting steady improvements in the state’s economy and the successful implementation of policies aimed at enhancing the living standards of all Kogites.The governor emphasized that 2026 will be a decisive year for Kogi State, guided by the recently passed “Budget of Shared Prosperity”, which prioritizes key sectors including agriculture, education, healthcare, security, and job creation.

Governor Ododo assured that his administration remains committed to sustaining growth through support for local industries, youth empowerment initiatives, strengthened healthcare delivery, and the development of critical infrastructure across the state.He stressed the importance of fiscal discipline and transparent governance, noting that effective resource management is essential to ensure that the benefits of development reach every citizen.“

Together, we shall build a Kogi State where prosperity is shared, opportunities abound, and no one is left behind,” he said, urging all residents to remain united, law-abiding, and resilient as they work towards a brighter future.The governor also prayed for peace, good health, and success for all Kogites in the coming year, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to delivering results that positively transform lives.Governor Ododo’s message underscores his vision for inclusive growth and reflects a continued focus on strategic planning and citizen-centered governance in 2026.
