Nigeria Ripe For Mechanized Agriculture – Dr. Hashim Suleiman

A young farmer and active politician in kano, Dr. Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa stressed that Nigeria is now ripe to practice mechanise agriculture especially at present when the present administration remained steadfast in food production.

He stated this in an interview with our correspondent when he visited one of his farms located at Dawakin Tofa local government area, where he opined that many developing countries have adopted Mechanized agriculture and reducing the use of human labour at both dry and wet seasons.

Dr. Hashimu Dungurawa who is also the chairman of people’s Democratic party, PDP Kano North zone disclosed that the money being spent by the federal government on agricultural programmes can be used to adopts some simple Mechanized farming because the funds can serve as pilot projects.

Speaking on his belief to agriculture, Dr. Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa announced that ” I opted into active farming in order to join the queue in restoration of food production in Nigeria and I am certain that in the near future, we can exports all sorts of food items to other countries like what is being seen from other developing countries”. He concluded.
