Nigerians blast Emma Nyra after revealing reason why many are happy about HushPuppi’s arrest

Singer, Emma Chukwugoziam Obi, better known as Emma Nyra has come under attack for defending suspected fraudster, Hushpuppi by slamming Nigerians who rejoiced over his arrest.

Nyra took to Twitter to air her view over the arrest of Hushpuppi saying;

“A lot of people are happy about what happened to Hushpuppi because he was oppressing them on social media. The truth is that rejoicing in his downfall is not gonna put money in your pocket. I’m tired of reading about someone else’s downfall. Let me jeje hustle my own.”

Her opinion however did not sit well with many Nigerians on Twitter, who went on to heavily criticize the artiste for ‘supporting’ the suspected fraudsters.

Actress Victoria Iyama wrote “He was only oppressing poor people, he was a nuisance & embarrassment to decent people”

While one Nnnena wrote “He was oppressing hardworking people with money he stole from hardworking people . It won’t put money in anyone’s account but supporting him won’t either…it would only drop your moral standards”

See more reactions below;

@KennyUnleash “Twitter really need to start testing people’s IQ before verifying them. I’m so tired of seeing verified accounts posting senseless tweets”

@AYO_FAD “There’s a difference between downfall and when justice is served.
Hushpuppi’s was “justice served”. Not a downfall at all”

@JasonRogue “In other words, watching a criminal get punished for defrauding millions of people (one of the biggest frauds in history) is rejoicing in someone’s downfall?

I love you Emma but this ain’t it”
