NLC Strike: Police On High Alert, Ensuring Public Safety – IGP

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, says the police are gearing up for any possible security threat during the planned industrial action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

He made the declaration on Monday during a meeting with strategic police managers at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The inspector general stated that the police would improve efforts to maintain law and order, especially as the nation prepares to mark the 2023 Democracy Day.

Baba asked the police managers to develop proactive measures to forestall any untoward acts.
