Nigeria Mining Cadastre Office, NMCO, has announced that the Agency was currently having a system downtime.
The system downtime according to a press release issued by the Management through the Head of Press, Folasade Fatoke disclosed that this was due to a technical glitch being experienced by the Cloud Service Provider hosting the Agency’s data.
The statement disclosed that the NMCO had upgraded its system to the electronic Mining Cadastre Plus, eMC+, to enhance seamless processing of Minerals title application in a transparent manner, in line with international best practices.
The NMCO statement also disclosed that the Agency’s Cloud Service Provider has informed the Office that the technical team was working assiduously to rectify the glitch as soon as possible.
“The Nigeria Mining Cadastre Office, NMCO, wishes to inform the Mining sector Stakeholders and the general public that the Agency is currently having a system downtime. This is due to a technical glitch being experienced by the Cloud Service Provider hosting our data.
“As you are aware the NMCO has upgraded its system to electronic Mining Cadastre Plus eMC+ to enhance seamless processing of Minerals title application in a transparent manner in line with international best practices.
“The Agency’s Cloud Service Provider has informed the Office that the technical team is working assiduously to rectify the glitch as soon as possible,” the MCO stated.
It added that the MCO wished to assure its Stakeholders and the general public that the Agency’s data was secured also appealing for understanding while the technical glitch is being restored.
