The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) reiterated its commitment to foster positive change through internal talent in addressing business challenges.
The NNPC Group Managing Director; Mallam Mele K. Kyari made this statement at the 51st Annual National Conference of the Nigeria Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in Abuja.
Kyari who was represented by the Managing Director Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), Mr Bala Wunti stated that the Corporation is committed to using internal talents clustered according to their enthusiasm, creative thinking and unconventional inclinations to co –create in house strategies to market challenges.
He specifically named –checked the “Operation White” initiative aimed at enshrining energy security and expanding the push for transparency in the production and distribution of petroleum products as a novel initiative driven by the Corporation’s young and creative talents.
The NNPC Boss said Big data, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and agile work practices will be implemented on the Corporation’s path to global excellence in repositioning.
In line with the TAPE Agenda of the Company, NNPC will build software labs that will crowd source and optimize technologies across the value chain to tackle various business challenges.
According to the GMD, “In today’s VUCA world, where all is changing at supersonic speed, NNPC is poised to be a leading hope for innovation and creativity in Africa Oil and Gas landscape”.
The “Disruption: Change the Game” theme conference has over 2700 participants from various sectors across the economy of the nation.
