NOC Elections: Group Alleges Plot by Gumel to Disqualify Some Candidates

A group under the aegis of United Sports Stakeholders (USS), says it has uncover plans by the incumbent President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee NOC, Engr.Habu Gumel to disqualify some candidates in the NOC’s election billed for Jalingo,Taraba state next week.

A statement from the spokesman of the group,Comrade Sylvanus Ofekun on Thursday noted that Engr.Gumel had perfected plans to return without any challenge before constituted the electorial committee.

The statement added that “upon discovering that he will be facing several oppositions in Taraba state, the septuagenarian has now perfected plans to disqualify some leading aspirants;as he is now mounting pressure on the electorial committee to disqualify some of the leading candidates.”The group alleges.

The group says that it has petitioned relevant government agencies about the  old fox tactics being employed by the outgoing NOC President. 

Meanwhile, the group says “it will seek  legal help inorder to retire the man who has grounded sports in Nigeria.” The statement of the group reads.
