Governor Ahmad Aliyu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in tackling Sokoto State’s security challenges. He made this pledge while receiving the Sokoto State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, along with newly deployed heads of security agencies in the state.
During the meeting, Commandant Alfadarai introduced the recently posted security heads, including the 8 Division Garrison Commander, as well as the heads of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Immigration Service, NSCDC, and the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Sokoto State.
In his remarks, Commandant Alfadarai expressed gratitude for the warm reception he had received since his arrival. He outlined his strategic priorities to enhance security and support the Sokoto State Government in achieving sustainable peace and development.
According to the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, DSP Muhammad Zayyanu, Commandant Alfadarai commended the governor for his Smart Nine-Point Agenda, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and agriculture. He highlighted that the NSCDC’s Safe School Initiative and Agro Rangers Program are well-positioned to bolster security in schools and rural communities—initiatives that align with the state government’s vision for progress.
