The Sokoto State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), led by Chairman Usman Muhammad Binji, has inaugurated the new executive members of the Rima Television (RTV) and Rima Radio chapels.
The joint inauguration ceremony, held in Sokoto, was attended by prominent media personalities, including seasoned journalist and former NUJ Chairman, Alhaji Labaran Lumo Dundaye (Sardaunan Dundaye), who is the Managing Director of the Sokoto State Media Corporation.
During the event, Ibrahim Muhammad Ladan was sworn in as Chairman of the Rima Television Chapel, while Ibrahim Bello Gandi assumed the role of Chairman for the Rima Radio Chapel. Other executive members for both chapels also took their oaths of office.
The event underscored the importance of unity, professionalism, and a commitment to strengthening journalism in the Sokoto media sector. The newly appointed leaders pledged to work collaboratively to enhance the media’s role in fostering development and promoting credible reporting.
This marks a new chapter in the leadership of RTV and Rima Radio chapels, aimed at upholding the ethics and standards of journalism in Sokoto State.
